Kay (King) Tapley, 74, of Karnak, passed away peacefully at 3:20 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at her home.Kay was born Dec. 19, 1950, in Anna. She was the daughter of Willis H. King and Fredia K. (Erwin) King.On July 17, 1971, Kay was united in marriage to Scott Tapley at the Karnak United Methodist Church. Together, they shared over 53 years of marriage.In addition to her beloved husband, Kay is survived by her children, Brandi Seely of Nashville, Tennessee, and Brett (Carrie) Tapley of Tunnel Hill, Illinois; grandchildren, Makayla, Madyson, and Micah; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo King of Cypress and Mecca (Jeff) Helm of Grand Chain; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike King, Dean (Evelyn) King, and Donald "Doodles" King.Kay was a 1969 graduate of Vienna High School.
