Richard G. "Dicky" Boyd Sr., 91, of Paducah, Kentucky, for the past 53 years and a native of the Reevesville community in Johnson County, Illinois, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.Dicky, as he was known to family and friends, was born April 10, 1933, in Reevesville, Illinois. He was the son of William Lee and Esther Aline (Choate) Boyd.On March 30, 1952, Dicky was united in marriage to R. Aleatha Jones in Corinth, Mississippi. Together, Dicky and Aleatha shared almost 73 years of marriage.In addition to his wife, Dicky is survived by a daughter, Karen (her husband, Jerry) Cook of Centralia, Illinois; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, David (Maye) Boyd of Sterrett, Alabama.In addition to his parents, Dicky was preceded in death by a son - Richard G.
