Charles “Chuck” Kerley, 75, of Cypress, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 12, 2024. Born on August 13, 1949, in Peoria, Illinois, Chuck was the beloved son of the late Roy Jr. and Meryl Kerley. On March 14, 1982, he married the love of his life, Paula (Marks), and they shared over 42 wonderful years together. Chuck dedicated more than 55 years of his life to his work as a heavy equipment operator for the International Operating Engineers Local 318. A committed professional, he took pride in his work and was highly respected by his colleagues and community. A lifetime member of Maple Grove Baptist Church in Perks, Illinois, Chuck’s faith was an integral part of his life. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting and fishing, often spending his time hunting rabbits, squirrels, and duck. Known for his playful spirit, Chuck was always ready to lovingly “aggravate” his family and friends, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.
