Ray Donald Romain, 89, a resident of Paducah, passed away at 1:22 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.Romain founded Calvary Apostolic Church in Paducah in 1979 and served as pastor for 32 years, prior to his retirement. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and was a Kentucky Colonel.Survivors include his children, David Romain, Deborah Griffiths, Mindy Treat, Elizabeth Romain, and Richard Romain several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mae Tharp Romain and a sister. His parents were Samuel Earl Romain and Mary Ann (Boswell) Romain.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at the New Life Apostolic Tabernacle, 1117 Bell Ave., Paducah.Burial will be in Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Paducah.Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at New Life Apostolic Tabernacle. There will also be visitation Monday, Aug. 5, from noon until the fune
